Founder and CEO

Candace Barnes Design Studio is a high-end interior design firm based in San Francisco and founded by CEO and Creative Director Candace Barnes. She draws her inspiration from nature, art, music, fashion and literature. Her design philosophy is to create beautiful interiors that encompass both the masculine and feminine by utilizing colors, elements, reflection, light, and most importantly scale.

Candace has a degree in Interior Design and Architecture from Syracuse University, and upon graduation, moved to San Francisco where she studied Fine Art at the Academy of Art and the Art Institute. 

Candace specializes in residential design, interior architecture and landscape design with projects nationwide. These projects have been published nationally in esteemed design magazines, and she has also been chosen for multiple Showcase houses. These have included the prestigious San Francisco Showhouse, the Belvedere Showcase house, as well as Veranda’s House of Windsor in Brentwood, California. She has also appeared on NBC, HGTV, amongst others. 

Her clients have included Urban Planners, Doctors, Actors, Authors, Wine Makers, Tech Professionals, Venture Capitalists and TV Personalities. These projects have ranged from high-end luxury design to contemporary interiors featuring important art collections. Her ability to adapt to the needs and unique personalities of her clients, while incorporating her design vision is unparalleled.
